THE HARNESS:
A neck strap is great for everyday use, but can cause discomfort on the back of the neck over longer trips. To get around this, the bundle includes a harness that spreads the load across your shoulders and back.
This includes Vanguard's patented quick release system that is included on the neck strap, allowing you to switch between the neck strap and the harness in seconds. It also gives you the option of buying a separate wrist strap for shorter trips where speed of access to your binoculars is key, or upgrading your harness to a deluxe harness for maximum comfort at a later date.
THE DIGISCOPE ADAPTOR:
With the ever improving quality of smartphone cameras, digiscoping is a growing trend which allows you to take a photo or video using the magnification of your smartphone camera and your binoculars. It could be to capture a record of a sighting or animal behaviour, or just a memory that you can upload instantly to your social media.
To support this, the bundle includes a digiscope adaptor for smartphones up to 90mm wide which allows you to take a photo or video using the magnification of your smartphone camera and your binoculars. It also includes a Bluetooth remote control that can be used with IOS or Android smartphones, allowing you to take a photo or video at higher magnifications without the risk of introducing movement which pressing the camera shutter button on your smartphone would cause.
While it is possible to digiscope by hand, we'd definitely recommend using a tripod and to attach the binoculars you will need an adaptor such as the tripod adaptor. This simply attaches to your binoculars and the quick release plate of your tripod.
